Amazon’s Analytics Predict High Performance for 2019

Major metropolitan areas across the country spent last year competing to be Amazon’s new headquarters. The multinational tech giant compiled data on 20 candidate cities to find which would be best fit for their project, focusing in large part on housing markets. Atlanta ranked as one of the four markets most likely to outperform the national average for home appreciation and had the highest YTD growth of the group. Ultimately, Amazon chose to split its new headquarters between D.C. and New York, but the data they collected gives an optimistic outlook for Atlanta’s 2019 housing market.
