Homebuilders Remain Optimistic Despite Rising Costs

According to the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Index, the homebuilder sentiment remains above 50 points, at 68-- this indicates a positive outlook that’s fueled by the housing shortage pushing many consumers to build rather than buy existing homes. The report states that even though construction costs have been rising from increasing tariffs, growing lumber and labor costs, and potential trade wars looming, homebuilders remain optimistic. They will need to maneuver managing these costs to  meet the demands for entry-level homes at a competitive price point.
