Mr. Jacobi is a self-made success and proven entrepreneur with an extensive career in residential development. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Landscape Architecture and started his career working for some of the most respected land planning and engineering firms in Atlanta, Georgia. The turning point in his career was transitioning to the Homebuilding industry to perform land acquisitions and development for one of the country’s largest homebuilders.
Mr. Jacobi created Parkland Communities, Inc. in 2005 and has worked hard to establish a stellar reputation. Together with his business partners, he helped found JEH Homes in 2007 at the beginning of the great recession. He was actively involved in the day-to-day management of the company. Mr. Jacobi helped grow the start-up company into one of the most successful and top 10 largest Homebuilders in Georgia, becoming one of the best Cinderella stories of the recession. JEH Homes was sold to Taylor Morrison in 2015 for +$70 Million. Mr. Jacobi is also a part owner of Alliance Engineering + Planning, LLC which is a consulting engineering company servicing clients throughout the Southeast. Additionally, Mr. Jacobi part owner of multiple real estate investment ventures with asset holdings throughout North Atlanta.
During his career, Mr. Jacobi has performed the acquisition, design or development for over ten thousand residential lots. He is recognized as a quality developer by both the large and small builder community. His innate ability to find new opportunities, navigate municipal entitlements and envision future development has earned the respect and trust of his peers.
Mr. Hovis is a native to Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Agriculture Business with emphasis on real estate. After graduation, Jack spent four years working for the Shopping Center Group, managing various retail shopping centers in Atlanta. This management experience translated well into his position at Parkland Communities as a project manager, overseeing the land acquisition and project management of developments.
Mr. Prather began his real estate career as a new home sales agent while just 18 years old and has had a successful career ever since. He later joined his family’s development business and is widely recognized as an expert in Land acquisition and Development. He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker who has brokered, developed or acquired thousands of residential lots and acreage in metro Atlanta. He uses the latest technology and market experience to locate some of the best opportunities in Atlanta. Additionally, Jacob has diversified his portfolio and also owns three other businesses unrelated to real estate. One of which has become the leader in their industry.
Mr. Thompson is a native of Atlanta and a graduate of both Dunwoody high school and Elon University, where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business, with an emphasis in finance. Nick was also selected as the MVP of the Elon University baseball team and drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies playing professional baseball for three seasons. After baseball, Nick became a licensed real estate professional in 2001.
Mr. Thompson has extensive experience in real estate brokerage representing clients in sales, purchases, development, and consulting. He has completed numerous transactions, resulting in over $35 million in total volume. Nick was elected to public office for two terms as a City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem from 2003-2009 for the City of Sugar Hill in Gwinnett county. His background gives him a unique insight and understanding of land use, zoning codes and the procurement of entitlements. Additionally, he is both a founding and current member of the Sugar Hill Downtown Development Authority; wherein public/private redevelopment partnerships are in active development today
