Developer ramps up lot development and home construction capacity with new directors

Ian Young brings over 27 years of land development experience to Parkland Communities. Originally from Scotland with a degree in Civil Engineering, he has worked on civil projects in the UK and the United States, including contributing to military housing projects in Georgia. Young has held various roles in the residential home building industry with public and private homebuilders since coming to the U.S. in 1996. Most recently, he served as Regional Director of Development at Forestar, the largest lot developer in the U.S. He received his degree in civil engineering from the University of the West of Scotland and has managed the development of thousands of lots during his career. Young is enthusiastic about joining Parkland and expanding the company’s land development business across Atlanta and throughout Georgia.
Nick Patti, previously the Director of Purchasing and Estimating at Smith Douglas Homes, brings over 18 years of comprehensive management experience to Parkland Communities. With a career that spans various construction projects in residential, commercial, industrial and heavy civil/marine markets, Patti contributes invaluable experience and skills to Parkland. He is eager to put his extensive knowledge to work in establishing Parkland Homes and Parkland Residential as prominent Georgia homebuilders, delivering affordable, high-quality homes to the residential market.
