Parkland Communities Sells $19 Million in Land Holdings
Parkland Communities announces the sale of $19 million in land holdings to multiple home builders including Century Communities, McKinley Homes, NVR Homes and Rocklyn Homes. Comprised of four land developments, 290 acres and 775 lots in desirable areas of metro Atlanta, these communities are located in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties.
Highlights of the transactions are:
- Century Communities purchases 160-lot Kingsley Creek community in East DeKalb.
- McKinley Homes purchases 171-lot Highland Park community in City of Stonecrest.
- NVR Homes purchases 136-lot Summertree development in Dekalb County.
- Rocklyn Homes purchases 308-lot Martin Springs community in Lawrenceville.

Kingsley Creek, purchased by Century Communities, offers 160 lots for single-family homes featuring 50- and 60-foot-wide lots within the popular Stephenson High School District in East DeKalb County. This community features abundant green space, nature trails and amenities including a pavilion, playground and play field for residents to enjoy. Kingsley Creek is just 3 miles from the new Amazon fulfillment facility expected to attract thousands of new jobs to the area. It is currently entitled and in the last round of land disturbance review.
Highland Park, purchased by McKinley Homes, is zoned R-100 and features 171 single-family homes on 130 acres. Located in Stonecrest, Georgia, Highland Park amenities include a cabana, pool and play field. The community offers convenient access to I-20 and other major interstates. Also nearby, are ample opportunities to explore nature. Students attend DeKalb County schools.
Summertree, purchased by NVR Homes, is zoned R-100. This 136-lot neighborhood is designed to preserve an existing lake and forested green space on the property. Located in DeKalb County, Summertree is directly across the street from Pine Ridge Elementary and Stephenson Middle, as well as walking distance to Stephenson High. A large pavilion, central play park, several pocket parks, fishing ponds and nature trails are included in the amenity package. Summertree is approximately 3 miles from the new Amazon fulfillment facility expected to attract thousands of new jobs to the area.
Martin Springs, purchased by Rocklyn Homes, is located near Project Rowen, a planned 2,000-acre knowledge community planned along Highway 316 in eastern Gwinnett County. Martin Springs will feature 308 total homes including single-family homes and rear-entry townhomes on 67 acres just east of Lawrenceville. The community features an overabundance of park space with about 14 acres designated as common space featuring pocket parks, a large forested passive park with mulch trails, pool and cabana and a large playing field. An enormous 150-year-old oak tree on the property that was special to the family that previously owned the land, was preserved and serves as a focal point of the community.
