Jim Jacobi, president of Parkland Communities and Parkland Residential, recently sat down with Tim Sullivan, senior managing principal with Zonda, for the first installment of Zonda’s Rental Housing Outlook interview series. Created to interview acclaimed builders, operators and ideators, the interviews cover current trends and what’s happening in the rental housing market.

Originally from Scotland with a degree in Civil Engineering, he has worked on civil projects in the UK and the United States, including contributing to military housing projects in Georgia. Young has held various roles in the residential home building industry with public and private homebuilders since coming to the U.S. in 1996. Most recently, he served as Regional Director of Development at Forestar, the largest lot developer in the U.S. He received his degree in civil engineering from the University of the West of Scotland and has managed the development of thousands of lots during his career. Young is enthusiastic about joining Parkland and expanding the company’s land development business across Atlanta and throughout Georgia.
Nick Patti, previously the Director of Purchasing and Estimating at Smith Douglas Homes, brings over 18 years of comprehensive management experience to Parkland Communities.
